Section 25: Greensboro’s Bryan Park to Durham’s West Point on the Eno

Approximately 57 miles

In August 2011, the FMST Board approved new hiking directions from Greensboro's Bryan Park to the Falls Lake dam north of Raleigh so that hikers could start using much of the new trail that has been built along the Haw and Eno rivers and on the western end of Falls Lake. The interactive google map on this website has also been updated show this new route.

This section follows back country roads through Guilford, Alamance, Orange and Durham counties  No camping is available until you reach Eno River State Park.

Trail construction is underway to continue moving this section from country roads to trail.  We’re building trail on the Haw River in Alamance County, in Hillsborough, and in Eno River State Park in Durham and Orange counties.  We expect to begin constructing trail along Seven-Mile Creek and on the Cane Creek Reservoir in southwest Orange County soon.  To get involved, contact one of the volunteer trail leaders listed below.
