Watauga Workdays

The section of trail from US 421 south to US 321 has been completed. The section from US 421 south to Bamboo Gap is open to hikers. The section from Bamboo Gap south to US 321 is closed to hikers pending approval and installation of sign posts and blazing. Regular work days (focusing on maintenance) will resume in the spring of 2012.

Information about workdays:  RSVP to John Lanman jelanman@charter.net and he will notify you of the meeting place (and will also notify you if weather forces a cancellation). 

Tools will be provided, but bring water, lunch and snacks, work gloves and sturdy shoes.  Dress for the mountain weather which can be changeable.
