Workdays Near Asheville
Carolina Mountain Club continues new MST construction on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Soco Gap. We’re nearing completion of the trail in the mountains, and this stretch is one of the remaining gaps.
Work Days for 2011

Meeting Spot - Home Depot at the Enka-Candler Exit 44 off of I-40 at 8:30 AM. Plans to be back in Asheville by 3:00 PM.
We’ll be building new trail, and work may include using a rake and hazel hoe, installing log steps, brush clearing, moving logs and picking up debris. The work is strenuous, but we can adjust to abilities. No experience necessary as qualified teachers will be there.
Tools will be available, but if you have digging tools of your own, please bring them.
