FMST Guidelines:

1.) Keep a journal of your adventure and share it with the FMST.

2.) Due to the fact that the MST is 50% complete on natural footpaths, an individual has the option of hiking and/or biking the other sections of the MST. We require that individuals hike all sections of the MST that have be designated as hiking by the Department of Parks and Recreation. The biking option applies to NC-DOT and county bike routes that connect the hiking segments.

3.) This recognition is based on personal integrity, since each person is responsible for honestly reporting how and when he or she has completed the MST across North Carolina.
