Marion, NC - Bald Knob Workday

Workdates are: March 29, 2008 and April 26, 2008 - 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM - meet at USFS Woodlawn Picnic area off NC-221 (north of Marion)

Work Day - Tread work and blow down tree removal all the way to the top of Bald Knob. This is a very remote section of the MST. Your RSVP is a must to plan for tools.

Bring a bag lunch, hiking boots, plenty of water, work gloves, and wear old clothes.

Directions – Going west on I-40, turn right at Exit 86 into Marion to join US-221 Bypass, and continue north to see Woodlawn Picnic area on your left. Meet Phil here at 8:30 AM.
