Hike Moore’s Wall Loop Trail at Hanging Rock State Park

General Location: Triad, Stokes County, north of Winston-Salem

Length:  4.5 miles round-trip

Difficulty:  Strenuous

Kid Friendly?  Yes, if they can handle a challenging hike

Meeting Place:  Lake parking lot in Hanging Rock State Park

Description:  Hike with a park ranger along part of the 7.4 miles of the MST that passes through the park. We’ll travel along the Moore’s Wall Loop Trail to the observation tower (elevation 2579 feet), the highest point in the park. Preregistration is required; please call the park office at 336-593-8480 to sign up. Limit 20 people. No pets, please.

What to Bring:  Please wear appropriate shoes, and bring a lunch.
