Trail Workday on the Haw River General Location: Triad, Alamance County, near Burlington Length: N/A Difficulty: Strenuous, but we can adjust to abilities Kid Friendly? Children under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Generally not suitable for young children. Contact: Chris Clark; chris.clark@alamance-nc.com Meeting Place: Contact Chris Clark (see contact info above) for meeting location Description: Join a growing team of volunteers who are building new MST on the Haw River. At this workday, we need your help to build two foot bridges on a new section of trail between the paddle access at Glencoe and Carolina Mill. At future workdays, we'll be building new trail on new land acquired near Gerringer Mill Road and the Challenge Golf Course. What to Bring: Please wear work clothes and boots, and bring a bag lunch, plenty of water, work gloves, and sunscreen. We have a great supply of tools, and we'll give you training on how to use them.
